NEW BLOCK OF THE MONTH — STARTING THIS NOVEMBER! You can find in our Unique offerings section on our website.

We’re excited to introduce A Simple Life: Baskets, a new 10-month, history-based BOM by Krisanne Watkins of Quail Valley Quilts.

Generations of Amish women created striking quilts using bold geometric designs and solid-colored fabrics — a beautiful contrast to the printed calicos popular throughout much of 19th- and early 20th-century America. The beloved Basket block, often associated with weddings and new homes, is at the heart of this beautiful quilt.

Krisanne has reimagined that tradition with classic basket blocks surrounding four large center blocks, all set off by dramatic black borders.
Ten months of stitching, history, and beautiful fabrics — ending with a quilt inspired by a wonderful American quilting tradition.

LAST CHANCE — Swatch Book by the Iowa Quilt Museum!

We’ve had so much fun sharing this collection with you, and now we’re down to the very last pieces of Swatch Book by the Iowa Quilt Museum for Windham Fabrics.

Inspired by a 100-year-old manufacturer’s swatchbook that found its way into the Iowa Quilt Museum’s collection, these wonderful prints capture the crisp, classic look of vintage blue-and-white shirtings. The small geometrics, stripes, dots and charming motifs make them perfect for reproduction quilts — but they work just as beautifully in traditional and modern projects.

Blue fabric lovers… this one is for you! We’re excited to introduce our new Sisters Quilt Starter Kit, featuring the beautiful Sisters quilt by Petra Prins!

This gorgeous 57" x 75" quilt is filled with everything we love about Petra’s designs—rich blues, Dutch Heritage chintzes, soft creams, touches of yellow, and that wonderfully scrappy, collected-over-time look.

To make starting your own Sisters quilt a little easier, we’ve curated a special starter kit with the key blue chintzes and coordinating fabrics you need to begin. The kit includes the Sisters pattern by Petra Prins and comes packaged in a reusable project zipper bag.

We also have the Plexi Notions Template Set for Sisters available separately.

If you love blue quilts, Dutch Heritage fabrics, Petra Prins, and a good scrappy project, this might just be your next quilt.

A little piece of Jane Austen history has arrived in the shop!

https://www.reproductionfabrics.com/shop/1775-to-1825/The-Jane-Austen-Coverlet.htm

We’re excited to have even more from the beautiful Jane Austen collection in stock. In addition to the Jane Austen Coverlet and center panels, we now have fabrics from the Jane Austen at Home collection, along with bundles of the complete line!
The inspiration behind these fabrics makes them especially wonderful.
Jane Austen’s House in Chawton, Hampshire, was Jane’s home during the extraordinarily productive years when she wrote, revised, and prepared her novels for publication. Today, the house preserves many treasures connected to her life—including her writing table and one particularly special piece of needlework: the patchwork coverlet made by Jane, her sister Cassandra, and their mother.

Technically a coverlet rather than a quilt, it has no layer of wadding. The impressive 91" x 105" piece features a large chintz diamond at its center, surrounded by 232 smaller diamonds with spotted sashing. Its outer border contains more than 2,500 tiny diamonds, all joined with remarkably fine hand stitching. (The Coverlet Kit comes with a unique Border Panel to make reproducing this quilt easier!)

Imagine the hours spent choosing fabrics, cutting those tiny pieces, and stitching them together by hand more than 200 years ago!

The Jane Austen at Home fabrics capture that wonderful historic feeling with delicate florals, birds, scenic motifs, soft blues, warm reds, creams, and period-inspired prints that look right at home in reproduction quilts.
