Did you know that our English Gown Workshops also include a study session with antique textiles?

As the Golden Scissors Study Collection grows, we are able to provide students with the opportunity to get up close with items from the period. What does 18th century silk or linen actually feel like? We have a number of samples that you can touch!

Our next gown workshop will take place October 2nd- 4th at the Col. Paul Wentworth House in Rollinsford, NH. Spaces are limited.

Materials and sizes vary slightly in these kits, please read description carefully. Materials and sizes vary slightly in these kits, please read description carefully. These kits are designed to use with our Larkin & Smith 18th Century Front and Back Lacing Stays Pattern.

Each kit includes:
- A roll of caning
- Length of artificial whalebone to place next to lacing holes
- Linen foundation fabric
-Worsted wool fashion fabric
- Lining fabric
- Heavy thread for sewing
-Leather binding
