Job Title: Gas Station Clerk (Third Shift)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Gas Station Clerk for the third shift. As a gas station clerk, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and ensuring the smooth operation of our gas station during evening hours. This position offers shifts scheduled from 5 PM to 11 PM on various days throughout the week.
Responsibilities:
• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing prompt service at the gas pumps and inside the store.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including fuel and merchandise sales, lottery ticket sales, and other convenience store items.
• Maintain a clean and organized store appearance, including restocking shelves, tidying up the sales counter, and ensuring proper inventory levels.
• Monitor and authorize fuel pump activity, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and procedures.
• Perform regular inspections of the premises, including fuel dispensers, store equipment, and facilities, reporting any issues or malfunctions promptly.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and special offers to effectively communicate them to customers.
• Respond to customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide information about fuel types, grades, and product offerings.
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
Requirements:
• Previous customer service experience in a retail or hospitality setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers from diverse backgrounds.
• Reliable and punctual, with the flexibility to work evening shifts from 5 PM to 11 PM on various days throughout the week.
• Comfortable handling cash transactions and using basic computer systems.
• Knowledge of fuel station operations and safety protocols is a plus.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be at least 21 years old and legally eligible to work in Alabama.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
