Dang it’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted on here

The past few (more like six lol) months have been a whirlwind - I bought a house (after 8 months of house hunting), moved out of my childhood home, got married, went on my honeymoon, and now things are finnnnally slowing down.

It felt like any second of spare time I had was used for wedding planning or house hunting and now that those things are over I actually have time to get back into my hobbies.

Obviously I’ve still been fulfilling orders in the background but I haven’t really sat down and crocheted for leisure. Since moving into our new home, I’ve begun (and almost finished!) a granny square Christmas tree skirt, and now I’m working on this fun little project 🤭 which I will share when it’s complete!!

Anyways I just wanted to pop on here and let you know that I am in fact alive and The Cozy Tangerine is still going strong.

This year looked a little different for The Cozy Tangerine as I worked a full-time job in conjunction with running my small biz - so I’m pretty damn proud of all I accomplished. This holiday season more than ever, it’s so so important to be intentional about where we choose to spend our hard-earned money.

Instead of making Amazon even more profitable, you could walk to your local boutique and check out the unique gifts they have! Instead of shopping at Target, you could gift a friend or family member a gift card to a local restaurant, coffee shop, or salon. Instead of browsing through the aisles at [insert big box store name here], browse your favorite small business’s website for the perfect stocking stuffer or handmade gift.

I challenge you: this holiday season, swap out three gifts you’d normally purchase on Amazon for gifts from a small/local business. :) I know you can do it!
