🌄⚔️ THE HOBBIT PRERELEASE: KNOW BEFORE YOU GO! ⚔️🌄
Tonight's Prerelease is COMPLETELY SOLD OUT, which means Never Bored Games is going to be PACKED.
We're incredibly excited to have all of you here! With this many adventurers crammed into our little corner of Middle-earth, though, there are a few things you can do to help us keep tonight running smoothly.
🎒 TRAVEL LIGHT!
If possible, please leave the giant totes, extra bags, and half of your adventuring inventory at home tonight. 😂
We're going to have a LOT of people moving around in a limited amount of space, and we don't want bags blocking aisles or becoming a tripping hazard.
If you have something you absolutely need to bring but don't need at the table, talk to me! I'll have some room in the back or behind the desk where we can safely set things aside while you're playing.
📱 HAVE THE MAGIC: THE GATHERING COMPANION APP READY!
When you arrive, please have your phone out and the Magic Companion App open and ready to go.
I'll have the event check-in QR code right at the entrance.
Scan it. Check in. Then head to the desk.
The faster we get everyone checked in, the faster we can get everyone seated and start cracking packs!
🚫📱 NO SMARTPHONE OR COMPANION APP? NO PROBLEM!
Just let us know when you arrive and we can get you entered manually.
You'll need to keep an eye on the match board between rounds to find your next pairing and seat, but we can absolutely make it work.
Nobody is getting left outside the Shire because they don't have an app. 😆
💰 NEED TO PAY?
After checking in, come see me at the desk if you haven't already paid for your spot.
🔢 FINDING YOUR SEAT
We're going to have the tables NUMBERED tonight!
When pairings go up, you'll be assigned a table number, so hopefully there won't be a lot of wandering around asking:
"Wait... where's Table 7?"
Look for your table number, find your opponent, sit down, and get ready to battle!
If you're checking pairings manually instead of through Companion, watch the match board for your name, opponent, and assigned table.
🛍️ PLEASE SHOP BETWEEN ROUNDS!
Once we're underway, I'm asking everyone to please wait until BETWEEN ROUNDS to make additional purchases whenever possible.
I'll be trying to keep the event moving, answer questions, manage pairings, and generally keep the dwarves from wandering off with the treasure. 😂
🐉 ABOUT THE DRAGON'S HOARD...
Collector Boosters are going to be VERY limited and will probably disappear quickly.
We should be in much better shape on Play Boosters, so you'll have opportunities to grab more of those!
However...
🚫 NO FULL BOX SALES TONIGHT.
I want as many people as possible to have an opportunity to get some of the new product.
Nobody gets to walk into Smaug's cave and leave with the entire hoard. 😉
⚔️ HOW TONIGHT'S TOURNAMENT WORKS
We'll play:
🎴 3 rounds ⚔️ Swiss pairings 🏆 1 Play Booster per match win!
And remember—you'll already have the packs from your Prerelease kit.
That means if you go 3-0 tonight, you could walk out of Never Bored Games having opened or earned SIX PACKS! 🔥
Not bad for one little adventure.

We're going to have a FULL HOUSE tonight, and that's an awesome problem to have.
Give people room to move.
Help each other out.
Meet somebody new.
Enjoy discovering the set together.
And if something doesn't go perfectly, give us a minute and we'll get it figured out.
We're going to do everything we can to make this one of the smoothest and most fun Prerelease experiences you've had this side of Middle-earth!
⚠️ Remember: Regular retail shopping ends when the event begins at 6PM.
Registered players—travel light, have those phones ready, check in when you arrive, find your numbered table, and prepare for an adventure!
