Today, on the 25th anniversary of September 11, we remember the lives lost, the families forever impacted, and the extraordinary acts of courage that emerged from that day.

Among those we remember is Madeline Amy Sweeney, a Massachusetts flight attendant aboard Flight 11 who courageously relayed critical information to the ground before the plane struck the North Tower.

Her legacy continues through the Madeline Amy Sweeney Award for Civilian Bravery, presented annually by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to recognize extraordinary courage and selflessness.

This year’s award was presented to Marine veteran Thomas Joseph “TJ” Swenson Jr., who jumped into action during the May shooting on Memorial Drive in Cambridge, warning those nearby and assisting a Massachusetts State Police trooper in subduing the shooter.

Prize Possessions is honored to have created this award once again and to help carry forward a legacy of courage, service, and bravery.

More highlights from the 127th Grand American World Trapshooting Championship! 🎯🏆

For years, Prize Possessions has been proud to stand alongside the trapshooting community as a longtime sponsor of the Grand American, celebrating the skill, dedication, and tradition behind one of the sport’s premier events.

This year included a particularly meaningful moment as newly appointed Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA) Executive Director Randy Moeller presented an award to the family of former Executive Director Lynn Gipson, who passed away unexpectedly this April. The presentation served as a special tribute to Lynn and the lasting legacy he leaves within the ATA and trapshooting community.

We were also pleased to see Jeff Russell of the Michigan Trapshooting Association receive a Mega Target Award. As a longtime Prize Possessions customer, Michigan Trap has been an important part of our connection to the sport, and we were proud to see Jeff recognized on the Grand American stage.
