Here's a rare one - a 1960 Guild Masteramp 66J! This is the second one of these we've had come through in as many years, and it's as close to mint as you're ever likely to see. It's 100% original with the exception of the filter caps, power resistors, AC cable, and handle. Sonically, it's similar to a tweed Deluxe or Tremolux. It's even got the original zip-side cover! Available now!

One of the wild things about having a guitar shop with such a busy repair bench is that sometimes you look around and realize you've ended up with enough parts to throw some decent builds together. That's what these three are! The Strat is a MIM slab board neck on a nice lightweight body with DiMarzio noiseless pickups. The Esquire is the one from our last post - MIM neck and body with a Bill Lawrence pickup and Dano style switching. The "Guild" amp is the real star of the show here though! It started out its life as a widowmaker design that someone had hacked up pretty badly, so we gutted it and turned it into a tweed Vibrolux! It's loaded with new iron, vintage glass, and a really cool vintage Bell & Howell branded Jensen AlNiCo speaker. There's also a fat switch and multi-tapped OT secondary for versatility.

The guitars are available for $750 each, and the amp is $1250. There's all manner of other stuff for sale here too!

Danelectro came up with a pretty cool wiring scheme for their single pickup models. The 3 way switch controls how the tone pot functions. In the middle the tone control is out of the circuit entirely. Flip it one way, and it becomes your standard high cut control. Flip it the other way, and it cuts low frequencies; giving you some thinner almost out of phase sounds. This one is in great shape despite having its k***s nibbled a bit by a mouse! 🐁

I'd been thinking this wiring setup would pair well with an Esquire build for a while now and finally got around to putting one together. It works really well, and in my opinion is much more utile than the stock or cocked wah Esquire wiring. The neck and body are MIM Fender, and the pickup is a noiseless Bill Lawrence L250.

Both guitars are available - contact us for more info!

Oh, and the monkey keychain has had the same battery in it for 25+ years and it still works. I fear it may be possessed. 🙉
