can I tell you something? not a highlight reel moment?
I’d been feeling really poorly about not being accepted into my local farmers market this year. I’ve really let it mess with my heart for the past 6 months and it’s so silly. Especially because my crop plan this season wouldn’t have allowed it anyways! I had this amazing plan for all of our flowers but I burnt up more than half of my seedlings with a new fertilizer 😵💫 that’s around 1000 plants. I have to show you a photo, it’s truly amazing that these flowers STILL grew this gorgeous despite their circumstances. Before you ask, yes I’m sure it was a “it’s not you, it’s me” situation and I over did the solution. I’ve definitely learned to stick with your tried & true and do not measure with your heart 🥴
So in the end, it’s all worked out and my amazing repeat customers still come out to the shed, we have events lined up and sold OUT so that’s all that really matters at the moment. Trying to find the good in a crummy situation is challenging for me when I’m working so hard but luckily my husband is mr radical positivity’s BFF and keeps me in check (not always but sometimes)!! The dahlias are blooming! I have my dream varieties and some of the healthiest plants I’ve ever grown! I have the most gorgeous pathways! Twinkly lights and my kids are happy!! All good and beautiful things :)
Anyways —— if you’re having a challenging growing season, just know that NO two seasons are the same and there is always room to learn, grow and give gratitude to the things that go “wrong”
Love & flowers,
