Leon Russell was the first to sign Willie's guitar -
"We go way back. He was one of the best performers that I had ever seen in an audience. The first time I saw him was in Phoenix and he had 20,000 or 30,000 people out there yellin' and screamin' and he was singin' and dancin' on the piano and singin' songs. He had them all at a really high pitch and he stopped right in the middle of it and he said 'Now I want you to think about where you are and think about how you got there and how gullible you are at this minute.
