About the artist:
Anthony Campbell received his B.S. in Studio Art from New York University and studied Industrial Design at Pratt Institute before earning his Art Education Certificate at the School of Visual Arts. He earned his MFA in Painting and Drawing from the New York Academy of Art in 2002
Campbell has exhibited throughout the New York region, including at the Edward Hopper House Museum & Study Center, and Perry Lawson Galleryin Nyack, NY, and at Garner Arts Center in Garnerville, NY.
In addition to his studio practice, Campbell has worked as a fabricator for artists, architects, and designers. He has taught visual arts in New York for nearly three decades, including nine years in New York City public schools and over twenty years in Rye, NY, where he serves as the district’s Art & Design Coordinator.
He lives in Nyack with his wife, Erika, where they have raised their two now grown children and have spent time hiking year-round with their dogs - all deep influences in his work.
