I spent the day at Leia Zumbro Jewelry Designer yesterday to celebrate National Girlfriends Day with flowers and jewelry.

Local flowers making my job easy. I love how these wrapped bouquets turned out.

Leia has built a wonderful community of not only clients but friends. It was a joy watching her talk to everyone who stopped by.

If I could have them all, I would! 😍

All in all, it was a wonderful Saturday. I met a lot of new people, I was surrounded by gorgeous handcrafted jewelry, and I had the opportunity to learn more about Leia.

I'm a rule follower, but not necessarily because I love following the rules. ⁠

At times, sticking to the "rules" or a strict ideology of design gets me all in my head. Honestly, I sometimes end up creating pieces that are completely fine, but I'm not thrilled about. ⁠
⁠
This one brought me joy because I simply went with a feeling and aesthetic I wanted to achieve. I wanted warmth, movement, saturation balanced by softer tones, and LOTS of texture. This is why I am happy to see your inspiration photos of flowers you like, but am more excited when we talk about a story and what you want to feel from your floral design. I want you to trust that you don't need a specific flower to make your design meaningful and impactful. ⁠

It was so freeing to just "be" and create whatever I was drawn to during this masterclass experience with . I'm thinking I need to showcase more of this type of work on here instead of only doing so after a workshop. ⁠

Lisianthus are one of my favorite flowers to create a monobloom bouquet with.

These pinks, salmons, and creams had my heart. One thing I love about certain lisianthus varieties is that the less mature blooms can be a perfect intermediate color that marries the other flowers together.

What goes into your wedding investment: Part 2 (Your Proposal)⁠

After the Discovery Call, I get to work on the initial design deck. The design deck gives you an idea of what your design *could* look like. I use the word could because seasonal floral design is fluid. Sometimes weather conditions, supply issues, and even design constrictions can force us to pivot from the initial design. ⁠
⁠
If there’s one thing I want every couple I work with to know, it’s this: I never take a Pinterest inspiration photo and budget it out. Meaning, I’m not counting every flower and giving you a price based on a replicated design. ⁠
⁠
I take the time to intentionally decide what will work in your space, what will hold up on your wedding day — and this is where the magic happens — how to bring all of that together into a design that feels completely yours. No copy and paste job here!⁠
