Hi folks, James here from The Happy Grower.
I wanted to take a few minutes today to share something with all of you, but first and foremost, I simply want to say thank you.
For the past seven years, The Happy Grower has been an incredible part of my life. What started as a business became so much more than that to me. Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people, build friendships, share knowledge, and hopefully help a few people become better growers.
Whether it was talking about plants, figuring out a problem together, teaching someone about soil, or simply standing around the store having a conversation, those are the things I’m going to remember most.
So many of you have touched my life over these past seven years, probably in ways you don’t even realize. And for that, I will always be grateful.
But as they say, all good things eventually come to an end.
After a lot of thought, my wife and I have decided that it’s time for us to retire and begin the next chapter of our lives. Because of that, The Happy Grower will be closing its doors in November.
I have mixed emotions saying that. I’m excited about retirement and what comes next, but at the same time, it’s difficult to say goodbye to something that has meant so much to me for so many years.
Most importantly, I want you to know that The Happy Grower would never have made it seven years without you.
Every person who walked through our doors, every customer who came back week after week, every person who recommended us to a friend, and everyone who supported this little store in any way — you made this possible.
You helped The Happy Grower grow, you helped us become a better store, and you made these last seven years some of the most memorable and rewarding years of my career.
So from the bottom of my heart, and from my wife and me, thank you for seven incredible years.
We’re not quite finished yet. We’ll still be here through November, and I truly hope I get the opportunity to see and personally thank as many of you as possible before we close the doors for the final time.
