Before talent shows, streaming platforms, and recording apps, there was a stage every kid knew by heart.
It was about three feet wide, stood against a bedroom wall, and had the most important audience of all staring right back at you.
The mirror didn’t judge.
It didn’t laugh.
It didn’t care if you missed a note or forgot the lyrics.
It just reflected a version of you that felt larger than life.
A hairbrush became a microphone.
A bed became the front row.
And for those few minutes, you weren’t just a kid in a messy room.
You were the headliner.
Lights blazing.
Crowd screaming.
Living out the dream that music had planted in your imagination.
No tickets sold.
No cameras rolling.
But in your mind, it was the greatest concert you ever performed.
