🚨 Meet the Story Dates Team! 🚨

You may think Story Dates is a one-woman operation, but I actually have a whole team of employees behind the scenes. 😂📚

Meet my co-workers:

🐶 Smokey — Senior Operations Manager
The oldest, the nosiest, and definitely the most serious. Smokey oversees everything and has questions about EVERYTHING. Nothing gets past him.

🐶 Cash — Director of Taking It Easy
Cash has a much more relaxed approach to the job. He believes in balance, taking plenty of breaks, and not getting too worked up about deadlines. 😂

🐶 Hank — Junior Assistant
Six months old and already making his presence known. Hank is still learning the business, but he has mastered inventory destruction, excessive enthusiasm, and keeping everyone on their toes. 😂🐾

Together, they make up the Story Dates staff.

Are they productive? Questionable.

Are they essential? Absolutely. ❤️🐶📚🛻

Oak Ridge, we’re doing a midweek bookish break! 📚✨

I’ll be at Main Street Lofts - Luxury Apartments this Wednesday, August 19 from 4–7PM, and I’m bringing the truck loaded up with Blind Date with a Book bundles, coloring books, and plenty of other bookish goodies!

Stop by after work, take a little break from the week, browse the shelves, and find something fun to take home. Because honestly… sometimes Wednesday just needs a good book. 😂📖

A huge thank you to Hamock’s for welcoming me to Clinton and giving me the opportunity to be part of the wonderful community they've created. It was such a fun, cozy morning - and I'm so grateful for the support. ☕📖

And thank you to everyone who stopped by, browsed the truck, found a Blind Date, and took the time to chat and share stories with me. Those little conversations are one of my favorite parts of bringing Story Dates out into the community. 🥰

You all made my first visit to Clinton such a great one. I'm already looking forward to coming back! 🧡

📚 Story Dates is more than Blind Dates with a Book.

I’m thoughtfully curating hobbies for people who love quiet moments. 🤎

There’s something special about slowing down, putting your phone away, and getting lost in something you enjoy. Whether that’s reading, coloring, journaling, or simply taking a little time for yourself, there’s something really special about making space for those moments.

You’ll now find a growing selection of coloring books on the truck, with designs for different moods and interests — including a few fun finds for my fantasy-loving readers. ✨

Blind Dates will always be at the heart of Story Dates, but I’m excited to bring you more ways to slow down, step away from the screen, and enjoy a little time for yourself.

📚✨ Look what we wrapped!

The Blind Date with a Book Craft Party at Crafty Bastard Brewery - West was SO much fun! Thank you to everyone who came out, grabbed some supplies, and helped turn a whole stack of books into surprises waiting to be discovered. ❤️

And a special thank you to everyone who brought gently loved books to donate and have wrapped for the sale, too! Your donations will help raise money for Friends of the Knox County Public Library and support the programs and services they provide to our community. 📚❤️

A huge thank you to Crafty Bastard West for hosting us and making this such a fun afternoon! Cliff and Hailey were wonderful and such a big help throughout the event. We couldn't have asked for a better place to get together and wrap books! 🍻📚

You all did an amazing job! I loved seeing everyone’s creativity come through, and there are some seriously cute surprises headed to the shelves. 📚🎁 Also, thank you to Mystik Muse who donated 50 beautiful, handcrafted bookmarks for this event.

Every wrapped book will be part of the Friends of the Knox County Public Library Used Book Sale, helping raise money to support our local library.

📚 The Used Book Sale is happening August 11–18 at BOTH Crafty Bastard locations, so be sure to stop by, browse the books, and see if you can find a surprise or two!
