Ruby is an amazing stone! These are semi iridescent with flashes of light reflecting from inside much like the star rubies that reflect a 6 pointed star.
Ruby is July's birthstone. It's is sometimes found with fuschite, kyanite, and zoisite, as with these earrings shown.
