Kitsch brings a warm, retro interior and ambiance that serves as a welcoming space for people to come and stay a while ☺️ It extends into Narrative - Oakland, CA, a large antique store filled with vintage decor and furniture 🪑 With a menu of coffee, matcha, chai, and tea options, they have a fun selection for you to explore as you enjoy the space 🫶

🥕 Carrot Cake Latte w/ Cream Cheese Cold Foam (summer special; not too sweet, had cinnamony, buttery, warm notes; the cold foam added a light tangy profile to the drink) 
🍵 Ginger Matcha (the ginger and matcha surprisingly worked really well together, although the ginger was a bit more prominent; the matcha itself is really smooth and toned down the ginger w its earthy notes, although personally I wish it were a bit stronger; I ordered this drink with oat milk, which made the drink taste more creamy and nutty)

Juneteenth is a holiday celebrating the emancipation of African-Americans who had been enslaved in the United States. Originating in Galveston, Texas, it is now celebrated annually on June 19 throughout the United States, with increasing official recognition, and became a federal holiday in 2021. It is commemorated on the anniversary date of the June 19, 1865, announcement of General Order No. 3 by Union Army general Gordon Granger, proclaiming freedom from slavery in Texas.
