We, small business owners, entrepreneurs, creators, etc., have days where we question ourselves and get afraid of wasting our time on dreams that might not come true. We procrastinate because we are afraid to face discomfort and many times just stop ourselves from doing what we love because we shame ourselves, in anticipation that others will. We do not even wait for others to do the job, we do it for them. Why?

Mood of the day...A bit moody. There is a lot of feelings of confusion mixed with uncertainty. I know that this feelings are normal when you face with challenges that scare you or are not pleasant and yet there is a lot of self shame in the process of learning new ways and facing unknown territory. Thoughts like "Here you go again, getting yourself into a possible pickle ", " "Why do you even think you will be able to pull this up?", "Who is going to buy your stuff?", "Doing the whole opening business process again?! "Aida! What are you doing?". Yes, those are real thoughts, days like today are hard.
Still, I know that this is just a day and the fear and anxiety will succumb and pass. This thoughts will not stop me, today they are the extra hill I will have to walk on but, tomorrow I will feel better. I always do.
I know days like today are important to feel, to let be. The memories of days like today will feel sweet when I reach my goal and they will become motivational memories. I do not run from them, I take them as they are because of what they will become.

It’s wreath season and we definitely love ours.

We are almost ending this year and we are grateful for all the leaning and the little projects we got done during 2020, because let’s be real, any little project during 2020 feels like a major one, a huge accomplishment. We are not embarrassed to admit that, we are right there, where you are.

Life certainly has its way for us to experiment all its shades. Some are dark and seem to challenge us the most, some are light and give us warm feelings. The way I see it, it that all shades create the pallets and compositions we are made of, they are all important and play an important role in our lives. I have learned to enjoy all the shades of life and the ones I am made of.
Currently, although purples, blues, grays and black has been showing off more in my life palette, warm shades of yellows, reds, oranges and greens have predominated my life.

We are very happy to announce that we are rebranding! If there is something important that COVID-19 has been teaching us through 2020 is that adapting to change and reinventing yourself is key in life. Change is the way life teach us resilience and challenge is the way life teach us creativity. We are adapting and we are enjoying the learning opportunity that this year is presenting us with.

Through the next couple of months you will see a lot of changes in Petals & Pods including it’s name. We invite you to witness our growth and be part of this journey when we will show you every step on how we do it. So many businesses have suffered and had to close their doors during this challenging year, we do not want to do that. Instead, we want to navigate this change and show everyone how we are doing it in case this information serves you or your small business.

Last Saturday we had the opportunity to create a floral installation for an intimate Sweet 16th. The client was very happy and exited for his daughter to see the end result. With COVID making celebrations more difficult, an intimate set up can still be enjoyable and gorgeous. We are here to assist you through that process. This time we shared the floor with and we had a lot of fun! We are looking forward to create more beautiful arrangements and installations for intimate celebrations. #
