Oakland Puzzle Company

We're so excited to be joining one of our largest events of the year. Tomorrow and Sunday is the Lafayette Art & Wine Festival. Last year, we created a limited edition Park Theater puzzle, and we have some left! 20% of all proceeds go directly to The Park Theater Trust!

We'll be near the Safeway and Community Stage. Come for the art, music, food, and community. And don't forget your puzzles!

We're a founding member of The Boycott Spot, a new platform of independent brands taking practical stands for community and against the consolidation of wealth and power.

Same bet we made when we started: that people want products with value beyond the commodity, and gifts that carry meaning.

Follow Boycott Spot and start there next time you're shopping.

Sunday is the 50th Solano Stroll and we'll be there all day, a mile of Berkeley and Albany closed off for makers, artists, small business, community groups and food.

What we're highlighting:
🧩 Your Mom is So Berkeley
🧩 Moonji Pickering's Oakland Sunset mini
🧩 Golden Beams in Redwoods (our best seller wherever we go)
🧩 Birthday Suits, just for laughs

We're set up right in front of Abrams Claghorn Gallery, one of the best small shops on the avenue. Stop by their shop too while you're at it, they deserve the traffic.

Sunday, Sept 13, 10am to 5pm. See you Solano Avenue Association soon

Thanks to the hard work of our little crew, another custom puzzle order is out the door!

I hired Anna Costa Rowan to manage custom projects earlier this year. It's our fastest growing channel, and accounts for 25% of our revenue year to date. Our reputation for creating high quality puzzles is spreading, and Anna's excellent customer service completes the package. Davey Bones has been working hard as our acting production manager, and is responsible for almost every puzzle we've cut this year!

We've provided gifts for holidays, anniversary celebrations, and groundbreaking ceremonies, as well as merch for fundraising, artists, small businesses, and hotels. Thank you to all of our clients for your trust and supporting a small business.

🎙️ History by Liam O'Donoghue of .

For more than 50 years, the same BART cars carried the Bay Area. In April 2024 they made their final run, and the Fleet of the Future took over. We put that moment in 500 pieces for SFBART, manufactured right here in the Bay.

This week, we sponsored the second Puzzle Palooza hosted by the City of Piedmont Parks & Rec. Both years filled every table, provided *the best* prizes, and a great time. My only regret is missing a photo op of the puzzle socks I saw 👀.

If you were there, let us know in the comments what you thought. We already have ideas for next year!

I love that cities, festivals, and camps are meeting the need for more community puzzling. Sitting together at a puzzle table is a fun and easy way to connect whether it's fast or slow!

I've wanted to put Brenna Daugherty's work in a box for a while. NorCal Coast is the first.

Coastal bluffs in full spring bloom, poppies, lupine, and that stretch of Pacific we all drive out for. Mini size, so it fits a coffee table, a carry-on, or a Tuesday night.

Shop it at the link.

We're adding new images soon and are saying goodbye to some favorites. 🩶

ABC Flowers is discounted to $20 while we still have it.

Fruitful Art is a Limited Edition and we're down to our last!

Lula Mae is our pride and joy.

We loved celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Rainbow Grocery Cooperative and this puzzle is going to stay in our personal collection.

Visit Oakland has been a best-seller since before it hit the shelves. It's a Limited Edition by design and we expect it to be gone in Fall.
