Prepping for a new sound library, in the experimental phase. Making “machine orchestra” using a 1920’s 16mm film projector, a 1940’s/1960’s desktop fans and 2 variac voltage regulators to adjust the voltage(speed) of the machines. Recording with a M/S stereo setup(Sennheiser MKH 8050/MKH 8030).

After using a Schoeps MS setup for many years it’s nice to be able to get out and try a different set of mics - Sennheiser MKH 8030/8050 - Very excited!

Still working on the stationary gas engines/hit and miss engine sound library. This one’s a 1929 Maytag model 92. The engine was used for powering washing machines back in the day.

i'm just going to say it. it's a delight having much less commercial airplanes in the skies during these unfortunate times. however, it's a huuuuge plus for field recordist's as as airplanes are our worst enemy when working.
