Happy finished object Friday!

Becky finished this (soon to be) wall hanging based on a tapestry crochet pattern by

Instead of using tapestry crochet, Becky made the base fabric using Tunisian crochet, and then cross stitched over top, following the crochet chart. What a fun twist!

Have you ever tried combining cross stitch with the Tunisian simple stitch? It's so easy and really opens up a world of fun possibilities. (You might recognize this technique from OYC's open/closed sign.)

Join Becky and Yasmine from next Saturday, June 13 for Worldwide Stitch in Public Day! We'll be there hanging out from noon - 2 pm.

Local Remedy offers craft beers and non-alcoholic drinks. You're welcome to carry in your own snacks, or visit the that will be there on Saturday.

OYC will have some swag and merch available for purchase, plus the storefront will be open regular hours that day for all your stitching needs.

Happy Pride Month, y'inz guys!

One way we're celebrating here at OYC is through sales of our "All are WOOLCOME" stickers. Proceeds from sticker sales will go to the QMNTY Center, offering LGBTQIA+ community support and services that include food and clothing pantries, temporary housing assistance and job counseling. We're so glad to be working with a local organization making a difference in the Burgh, so come on down and grab a sticker or two!
