Highlights from the InFlora Cut Flower Trial: Sakata

Sakata showed some classics along side new and improved varieties at this year’s trial.

COCO Marigold’s bold colors are perfect for autumn celebrations, plus all 3 colors flower at the same time, over a short flowering window, increasing harvest efficiencies.

Snapdragon Snapstar’s soft color palette, coupled with their sweetly scented double blooms, perfectly complement any floral arrangement.

Delphinium Candle’s uniformity, vigor and colors never fail to impress. Suitable for tunnel, greenhouse and open field production.

Highlights from the InFlora Cut Flower Trial: Evanthia

Evanthia featured new varieties across their range of products in this year’s trial.

Two new Matricaria showed off their unique characteristics- Campagne Summer’s extended stem length under warm summer conditions and Tetra EVA’s huge (average 1-inch) double flowers.

The new Oxypetalum Tweedy series, with two varieties, Blue and White, attracted a lot of attention and were admired for their uniformity.

Snapdragon Toulon Apricot 5 also brought attention with its desirable mix of pastel shades of pink, peach and yellow.

Stock StoX Marine gave a glimpse into new colors in the StoX breeding pipeline.

Last week, we hosted our 4th Annual InFlora Cut Flowers summer trial in Salinas, California, showcasing 250 varieties from 15 worldwide breeders. The amazing team at Green Valley Floral grew out this trial from plugs and liners produced at Headstart Nursery in Gilroy. This is just a snapshot of stunning varieties from the field.
