There’s more than one way to bring Popcorn home 🍿
Maybe you already know exactly which prints you want. Maybe you want a little bit of everything. Or maybe you’ve picked your quilt and would really rather have us figure out the fabric part for you.
That’s why we have Popcorn available four ways:
✨ Kits — pick your quilt, choose your version, and we’ve already put the fabrics together for you.
✨ Precuts — sometimes the pattern calls for one, and sometimes you just want a little bit of everything.
✨ Yardage — for when you’ve fallen in love with specific prints and know exactly what you want.
✨ Patterns — Pups in Pajamas, Posy and Busy Backyard are all available right away if you want to make it completely your own.

I love how completely different this one feels from Pups in Pajamas. Same Popcorn collection, but now all of those fun colors and prints turn into these big, happy flowers. And how very Elizabeth Hartman of this pattern to transform the fabric in such a way.

This is one of those patterns where I keep looking at all the different flowers and deciding which one I like best.

I think I have a favorite…but it keeps changing. 😂

I know it’s late, but I’ve been busy dreaming about all the Christmas projects I want to make.

My sister-in-law and I started a little tradition of making handmade Christmas projects, and I hope we keep it going. Mostly because those kids think T**i is soooo cool—which makes it very easy to keep adding projects to my list.

But it got me thinking: when people say quilters start Christmas in July, do they mean Christmas presents? Or are you starting Christmas quilts, table runners, and other festive projects?

Or are you like this aunt—full of handmade gift ideas, but almost certainly waiting until the week before Christmas to start?

Pups in Pajamas was an obvious yes for me when I saw the new Popcorn collection. I love Elizabeth Hartman patterns anyway, but all of these little dogs made with the Popcorn prints are just so fun.

t took me a moment this morning to realize what day it was. Not because it isn’t a day to remember, but because life is so crazy sometimes I barely know what day of the week it is.

But September 11th is worth stopping for. Even all these years later.

I still remember that day, and the feeling that came with realizing something was very, very wrong.

So today we remember the people who lost their lives, the first responders who ran toward danger, the families who never got to welcome someone home, and all of the lives that were forever changed that morning.

I was in Mrs. Austin’s 3rd grade class. Where were you?

I’ve been sitting on this one for a little while, and I’m finally getting close enough that I can start sharing. 👀

I’m especially excited about what we’re putting together around this collection—not just the fabric itself. There are some seriously fun quilts involved, and I may already have a favorite.

I’m keeping the rest under wraps for just a little longer.

But I’m curious: what caught your eye first—the colors, the fabric, or that tiny bit of quilt?

This year has been so unexpected.
Much like this trip to the beach.
Back in January we were discussing the terms of renewing our lease. All in agreement we had every intention of staying where we were for another two years. But from the beginning I knew that wasn’t what I wanted.
By March we started toying with the idea of moving spaces. A bigger space? A smaller space? A dedicated classroom?
We have lived, breathed, ate this business. Pouring what we could into it and using whatever was left over to give to our kids.
By the end of March we had made our decision. But legalities, we had things to work out and it wasn’t until April until we announced our move. However, we had formed a plan. But as a realtors wife I know nothing is set in stone until the ink is dry so we choose not to share all of what we had planned, or what we had hoped for. For the most part we did pretty good at keeping it close to the chest lol. (Except Nick…he’s chatty)
Risky, I know. We love how supportive and kind everyone was. How eagerly people wanted to know what our next steps were. We were excited for those steps as well.
However, every single move we had visualized or step we attempted to take was met with doors closing. Or hard no’s. And..well..our biggest lesson in business has been not forcing ourselves into places God isn’t leading us to be.
So by the time the kids got out of school, we decided to just enjoy that time we hadn’t had with them in the last two years.
We know this isn’t what everyone wanted. And not at all what everyone was expecting. At the beginning of the year this isn’t where we were expecting to be.
But today, loading my family up in the car, listening to church on the way to the beach, laughing and spending time together. I’m so grateful to all who has continued to be so supportive. Every like, comment, follow, order, machine and longarm services. You guys blow my mind and fill my heart with complete gratitude. My babies are heading to back school shortly and I’m so excited for what’s to come.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued support so I can have days like these with them, and fun with fabric with you!
