Kicking off Earth week with a cleanup at the Rookery🍃🪹🌎
Every year thousands of shore birds come back to this exact spot to nest at all summer long! Unfortunately though, due to tides and other factors this place collects a ton of trash.
After years of watching these birds nest with piles of plastic we decided to take some action.
Before the birds arrive in the next few weeks, we swept through as much of the rookery as we could get to, to pickup as much plastic and other garbage as possible!
It was a huge success all thanks to all of our help from…
