We tried, really we did. We just can’t reopen Toilet Water. Hurricane Sandy initially wiped us out, however, our insurance company (Hartford), flood insurance (FEMA), and Thomas Heist Insurance Agency were the knock out punch. We are still trying to recoup our loss from the insurance company through a public adjuster and will not give up on that.
It’s only through the generosity of people like the Sutherland Family, Cathy McGargee, Rosebud, Leenie Pfaff, and John Mistler along with the SandPipers bagpipers, and using our own money and hard work that the store is back to itself. Our inventory was practically wiped out.
We would like to thank all of our customers over the years. Your support meant so much to us. We made a lot of new friends. We contributed to our community. We gave jobs to a lot of great people. It is time to close this chapter of our lives and move on.
Some clean up items:
If you have a gift card from our store, please contact us at [email protected].
We will be having an indoor yard sale at the end of March (stay tuned for details) to practically give away all remaining merchandise. It would be nice to see any past employees stop by and say goodbye. We’ll have food and snacks at the yard sale.
We also have several Obey (Shepard Fairey) prints we are gonna sell to offset some of our losses until we get relief from the insurance company. Prints for sale are subject to change based on offers.
no phone calls please. store is closed until yard sale day – date to be announced
thanks again
