That both saves our shoppers money ( a lot of money ) and it finances our ministry – helping our friends and neighbors cope through illness, adversity and discouragement. Thank you for your support!

Grand re-opening! Cornerstone Community Church and Second Chance Boutique are moving to the new world headquarters, 801 Asbury Ave., Ocean City - in the old Crown Bank building. Saturday, April 28, it's official.

Moving day! April 23, we made short work of a lot of inventory at Second Chance - moving it down the block to the store's new location in the old Crown Bank building at 8th & Asbury. Thanks, everybody, for your help. Many hands make light work!

This is a heartbreaking situation. We may not be able to stop the fighting but we can help those helping the civilians (many are children) fleeing the fighting. Learn about the crisis, listen to your heart and the voice of God then lend a hand by giving to help those in this crisis. Jesus had compassion on the people because they were helpless and harassed, this is the definition of helpless and harassed to the Nth degree.

Way to go, church! At the annual pre-thanksgiving dinner and auction, we bought a whole bunch of stuff to benefit refugees fleeing war in the Middle East: three blankets, two weeks worth of baby food, five issues of clothes and shoes, 11 mother/child nutrition packs, five emergency medical packs, one refugee relief package and five temporary housing units – totaling approximately $2,476. Happy Thanksgiving to all and thanks for your generosity.

Easter doings: Good Friday Remembrance – Join us at 6:30 on April 3rd. for a covered dish dinner followed by the Lord’s Supper and a meditation on the suffering of Jesus. This will take place at the Norton’s, call for details, 609-399-7527.

Additional Holiday Events – Good Friday noon to 3 PM, “The Seven Last Words of Jesus” at St. Peter’s Methodist. (You do not have to stay the whole time to attend.)
