I want to thank all those over the years that Iā€™ve met and have been a part of my success. Without all of you, this journey would have been a glass half-full. Especially, to the musicians that have trusted me and my art enough to allow my instruments to be a part of your brand. Being around ā€œcreativesā€ has inspired me to build instruments allowing their voice to flow through. And, especially to my grand-daughter Zoe.

After a lot of contemplation and going back-and-forth, Iā€™ve decided to retire at the end of June. The decision is definitely bittersweet but feel like the timing is perfect to pursue the next chapter. No regrets and no looking back!

This gorgeous, custom, spec, dreadnought guitar was recently completed and is now available for purchase!

There are many unique aspects to this "Legends" build including:
* a single piece ancient Sitka top (carbon dated to 1440BC certificate of authenticity included)
* ancient Kauri from New Zealand (carbon dated to 52,000 years ago, certificate included)
* flamed Honduran mahogany neck
* gold frets
*Gotoh Tuners
*extensive Mother of Pearl and Abalone inlay, and accented with Amboyna Burl for the rosette and tail wedge.

Comes complete with a hard shell CrossRock case.

It was quite an honor to give two presentations about the art of building hand-crafted acoustic guitars at the Museum of Making Music in Carlsbad.

We thoroughly enjoyed meeting and talking with so many amazing people who appreciate and want to know more about luthiery!

This museum is an amazing place to visit . . . . so many wonderful exhibits to learn about all different types of instruments and many hands on experiences. We highly recommend that you check it out!

This is what a happy Zoe Guitars' client looks like!

This wonderful lady from Illinois called a few months ago interested in a smaller guitar, and Shawn just happened to have started a new parlor build. She was able to make a few choices about tuners, type of finish, etc. to make this guitar "her own."

Shawn worked hard to complete the build and sent it out right after her birthday and right before Christmas!

Alice was kind enough to have her husband take this video and some photos of her opening up and admiring her new guitar!

By the way, in case you are wondering how she found out about Zoe Guitars - her husband saw an article in their local newspaper that was syndicated from the article written about Shawn in the San Diego Union Tribune several months ago. He gave it to his wife to read and then she called!!!!
