Sometimes all a plant needs is a fresh start. 🌿

Our Potting Bar has been busy lately, and I couldn’t be happier about it.

People have been bringing in thrifted pots they’ve fallen in love with, finding the perfect new pot while they’re here, or simply giving a favorite plant a little more room to grow in a bigger nursery pot we provide. Some enjoy potting their plants themselves with a little guidance from us, while others are happy to let us do the work.

It’s kind of like a spa day for your plant…

There's something about yellow flowers that instantly brightens a room... and a mood.

August. 🧡

When I think of August, I think of this color.

That warm, rich golden-orange that somehow feels like sunshine you can hold.

I think of gardens overflowing and flowers at their peak. I think of tomatoes ripening on the vine, fields ready for harvest, and that feeling that the earth has been quietly working all summer and now it’s showing us what it’s been growing.

I also always notice something else this time of year.

It’s still summer… but it doesn’t quite feel the same anymore.

The light is different. The evenings come a little earlier. Every now and then there’s a breeze that makes me stop and think, wait… fall isn’t that far away.

It’s such a subtle shift, but I notice it every year.

I’m curious…

When you think of August, what comes to mind? A color? A feeling? A memory?
