Good Morning my quilty friends. A quick update this morning. We are open as usual however there is a marching band competition that has blocked most of the streets downtown. There isn't much parking and access to the shop is difficult. We would love to see you today but we completely understand if you would rather not deal with the difficult situation.

Remember, we WILL be open tomorrow, Sunday, with our regular hours of 9-4.

APOTHECARY IN THE WILD! We just completed the Central KS Quilt Shop Hop, plus a bonus shop! 8 great shops in the Wichita area! We hope you've been able to go, and if not, there is still time (October 1-10th), or you can make plans for next year, and we highly recommend it! Last year, they had 300 participants, so they planned for 500 shop hoppers this year. Halfway through, most shops were surpassing 600-800 participants, with more to come 🤯! They have run out of the quilt blocks, and coordinating fabrics. There is still time to order fabrics, and they are shipping the remainder of their blocks, after the Shop Hop is done. They are expected to restock in just a few weeks. Don't let that stop you from going!

Check out our class next week to learn how to create your own apron for any occasion. Make it spooky for Halloween, savory for Thanksgiving or sweet for Christmas, the choices are limited only by the fabric you choose. The class is small so sign up quick.

Good Morning my Quilty Friends. Just a friendly reminder that the September Table Runner challenge is almost finished. Make sure you get your finished project to the shop on or before October 1st (that gives you today, Sunday 9/27 and next Thursday 10/1) if you are planning on dropping it off.

Join us on Thursday, October 8th for a fun and quick apron class from 1-3. All you will need is a yard of fabric for the apron and a yard of fabric to use as a lining fabric (muslin works great). You will also need your sewing machine and thread. We recommend a chopstick, rotary cutter and straight ruler and fabric scissors if you have them.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner so why not make a festive fall apron?
