What a difference 5 days makes. I up my 7’ metal Christmas tree on Sunday and added a handful of ornaments. This week I’ve been busy filling it up in preparation for First Friday Art Stroll happening TONIGHT, 10/2/26 from 6 pm - 9 pm The Local Artisan Collective. Devon Lewis of Shoemaker Pyroshop is our featured artist. As always we’ll have a lot going on. Come down and check it out.

Every year I get asked what new Christmas ornaments I will be making. Well… Here is one of them.

Fumed icicles. These are made with clear borosilicate (Also known as Pyrex) & then “fumed” with pure .9999 silver. The silver turns a gold color on the glass. Each one is different and the iridescent colors seen reflected in the “fumed” layer can range from yellows to flashes of blue, purple, green & creamy whites among others.

I will be setting up his 7’ Christmas tree very soon at The Local Artisan Collective

Made this for a friend whose husband just had 6 bypasses. The green markers were where the bypasses were done.

Here are a few more new pieces I’ve made this week in preparation for tonight’s First Friday Art Stroll.

These must be seen in person to fully see how incredible they are. Pictures just can’t do them justice. There are SO many fun things happening tonight. This is the big Art Stroll for the year. The annual car show is happening on 25th Street at 5 pm & then catch us for Art Stroll from 6 pm - 9 pm for games, live music, live art demonstrations and much more.

The Local Artisan Collective 2371 Kiesel Ave.Downtown Ogden in The Junction. Free parking in the parking garage on Grant Ave & 23rd.
