BookEnds was built in 1943 as a church by Ojai's bee keeper, George Biggers. Not only was George renowned around the west coast for his excellent bee hives, he is featured in Ripley's Believe It or Not for being able to wear a beard made of his live bees. We thank George for our beautiful building that now honors his legacy.
