I’d like to take a moment to congratulate my great-niece,Skylar Studley who has been selected as one of the finalists in the Michigan Outdoors Report Youth Hunt! 🎉🦌

This young lady absolutely amazes me. Year after year, she gets out there, works hard, learns more, and continues to grow—not just as a hunter, but as an incredible young woman. And somehow, it seems like the bucks keep getting bigger every year! 😳🦌

She’s polite, sweet, athletic, involved in sports, and loves spending time outdoors and hunting. Most importantly, she’s making memories that will last a lifetime.

Out of 750 youth hunt submissions, she made it to the finals! That is quite an accomplishment, and our whole family couldn’t be prouder of her. ❤️

Floor Focus Retail Sales Associate Recognition Nomination

It is my honor, as the owner of Carpet Studio Flooring America, to nominate Katie Epifanio for Floor Focus Retail Sales Associate Recognition.

I have owned and operated our business for several years, and during that time I have had the opportunity to work with many talented people. Katie is someone who truly stands out—not simply because of what she sells, but because of the way she takes care of people.

Katie joined our company with an impressive background in window treatments and interior design. Since coming to Carpet Studio Flooring America, she has taken that experience even further, learning the flooring side of our business and developing into an exceptionally well-rounded design and sales professional.

Today, Katie can walk into a customer’s home and look at the entire project—not just the floor, not just the windows, and not just one product. She understands how flooring, window treatments, shades, blinds, drapery, color, texture, and design all work together. That ability has made her an incredible resource for our customers and a tremendous asset to our company.

But what I appreciate most about Katie cannot be measured in sales numbers.

It is the way she treats people.

Our customers genuinely love Katie. After installations, I regularly hear customers talk about how wonderful she was to work with. They praise her knowledge, patience, professionalism, respect, and attention to detail. They feel listened to, and they feel that Katie genuinely cares about helping them make the right decision for their home.

As an owner, there is no better feeling than walking into a completed installation and hearing a customer say, “Katie was amazing.”

That happens again and again.

Katie also brings something special to our workplace. She comes through the door with a smile every day. She has an enthusiasm and positive energy that is contagious. She makes the atmosphere around her more enjoyable, and she has a way of making both customers and coworkers feel welcome and comfortable.

She has also demonstrated something that I believe is extremely important in our industry: a willingness to keep learning. Katie could have stayed within the area of expertise she already knew so well, but instead she embraced learning the flooring business and became a Flooring Design Specialist in addition to her expertise in window treatments.

That says a lot about who she is professionally.

Katie represents what I believe a great retail sales professional should be. She is knowledgeable, dependable, professional, personable, respectful, creative, and genuinely committed to her customers. She builds relationships rather than simply making sales.

As the owner of Carpet Studio Flooring America, I am incredibly proud to have Katie on our team. She represents our company and the Flooring America name with the same pride and care that I would want from anyone representing our business.

Katie is more than a salesperson. She is a trusted design professional, a problem solver, a teammate, and—most importantly—a person our customers trust.

We recently completed this beautiful Okemos home, and our Window Treatment Specialist, Katie, found the perfect solution for the closet in the homeowner’s office!

As you can see, we installed a Hunter Douglas Designer Roller Shade with PowerView® Gen 3 motorization. With the touch of a remote, the shade provides privacy and a clean, modern look — who needs closet doors when you have a power shade? 😉

The homeowners absolutely LOVE the finished look, and Katie did an outstanding job from the initial consultation and product selection all the way through the selling process. The shade she selected for this office was the perfect finishing touch! 👏

Today, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the countless heroes who ran toward danger while others were running away.

We remember the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, military members, and everyday Americans who showed extraordinary courage, sacrifice, and compassion.

At Carpet Studio Flooring America, we are proud to honor their memory and support those who continue to serve and protect our communities.
