🎃💀 FORGET HALLOWEEN… THE TROUT ARE COMING! 🎣

Some folks spend October thinking about ghosts, goblins, candy and costumes.

Steve’s been sitting around so long waiting for trout stocking at the Blue River that, well…now he’s a mere skeleton of himself! 💀🤣

Because around the Fly Shop, October isn’t really about Halloween.

It’s about TROUT.

The temperatures start dropping. The stocking trucks start rolling. And the Blue River Public Fishing & Hunting Area starts coming alive again.

And we’ve got the guy who knows exactly what’s happening.

If fly-fishing Patagonia is on your "bucket list" – and it should be – you will want to be at the Fly Shop this Wednesday evening! SET Fly Fishing, hosted by the Central Plains Chapter of Trout Unlimited (CPTU), will be here from Argentina to present an overview of their portfolio of fly-fishing adventures.

After this presentation, if Patagonia isn’t on your “bucket list,” it will be!

Heads up, public-land anglers: comments on the proposed repeal of the Roadless Rule close this Tuesday, October 6. The rule has kept new roads out of about 45 million acres of national forest for 25 years, and many of those acres are the headwaters where our native trout and salmon spawn and rear. Over 230,000 comments are in already, but personal, specific comments (a favorite creek, a trip, a guide business that depends on it) carry weight. Well, we asked for more water in our lives. Apparently, we should have been more specific.

After a leak next door gave the Fly Shop an unplanned indoor water feature, we’re back open! Things may look a little messy while we finish tidying up, but we’re here and ready to help you get on the water.

Thanks for your patience, friends. Come see us—and let’s keep the water where it belongs. 🎣

FLY SHOP UPDATE
Well, folks, we've got a little water situation. Unfortunately, it's not the kind with rising trout in it.
A water leak at one of our neighboring businesses has forced us to close the Fly Shop while repairs are made.
The good news? Nobody's hooked, nobody's lost, and we're tentatively planning to reopen Monday, September 28.
We know the timing isn't ideal. Fall fishing is just getting good, the Browns are getting hungry, and there's never a bad time to talk flies. But we'd rather get things done right so we can welcome you back the way you deserve.
Thanks for your patience, your understanding, and for being the best fly-fishing community around.
Sometimes the river throws you a curveball. You re-rig, you adjust, and you get back out there.
We'll see you soon. And in the meantime, get out there and Git Sum!
