For many years, the owners of French Quarter Antiques leased individual spaces in various antique stores. As a result, they decided to open a store of their own May 1st, 2004. Much to their delight, sixteen other dealers from the former location chose to join them -- hence French Quarter Antiques was born. Initially, the center consisted of primarily antiques. eds have changed) other varied types of merchandise have been incorporated into their inventory. Vintage, retro and designer furniture are a few of these new additions. Structural antiques, garden statuary and accents, tapestries, original artwork and hand-woven, Oriental rugs are also featured. As you can see, the selection of inventory is vast and varied. Altogether, there are twenty-three dealers with booths and showcases, including four very talented interior designers. French Quarter is an "Antique Mall”, but is carefully arranged to look like one fabulous store. The services of two lamp and chandelier repairmen are available to help customers with their old and new lamp problems or concerns. One of these gentlemen has made countless chandeliers and sconces, each one with special design or crystals. The lighting gallery is outstanding and prices are incredibly reasonable. One room contains small, well-priced market gift items. To further your shopping pleasure and selection, one dealer is an extremely talented artist with a wide selection of original acrylics and prints. She specializes in "Pet Portraits" and has her own line for originally designed jewelry. One may also choose beautiful vintage jewelry, both gold and sterling, or browse through the many choices of new and vintage costume jewelry, handmade "Nantucket" baskets, glassware, pottery, china, sterling silver and authentic sacred artifacts and relics. Each dealer has his or her own specialty and collections so that French Quarter Antiques and Interiors can offer YOU, the customer with an eclectic and unique assortment of wonderful buys and bargains.
