Fox on the Barn FOTB is a vintage décor booth located inside Sentimental Journey Marketplace in Olathe, Kansas.

I also host the Pony Creek Road Vintage Market two times a year (spring/fall) in Freeman, Missouri.

Are you ready for fall?! Come on out to Sentimental Journey Marketplace THIS WEEKEND - September 11-13 for the Fall Open House - you'll find everything you need to get a vintage fall vibe going in your home or on your porch. Whether you just need a few items to add in, or you want to start from scratch - you'll find a great selection here.

The first 11 pictures are from my booth, but I also walked around the mall and took pics of great fall display work and items that I found interesting. I have identified the booth where I found the item in the picture caption (if I knew it...) If you have questions about an item, please contact the store.

I hope you have the Pony Creek Road Vintage Market on your calendar of events for this fall - October 9-10, 2026 (open 9-3 both days). I'll be a dealer again this year - look for my booth in its usual place behind the main house. Visit your favorite returning dealers along with four new dealers, have lunch from the food truck and grab some baked goods to take home. Kids are welcome, too - they can try our vintage scavenger hunt while you shop. Pick up a reminder postcard in my booth at Sentimental Journey Marketplace - we hope to see you there!

It's time to make sure you have some fall events on your calendar. First up is the Fall Open House at Sentimental Journey Marketplace, coming up September 11-13 (Friday - Sunday). You'll find lots of fall inspiration and of course, treats.

Then be sure to attend the last Outdoor Vintage Market of the season in the SJM parking lot on Saturday, September 26th. The selection is always great!

It's a new week so there's new (old) stuff in Fox on the Barn Vintage's booth. We're in full fall spirit now (I saw my first group of geese fly over the house this morning). You'll find a great fall vibe throughout Sentimental Journey Marketplace. When I get done with my booth, I always walk around to see what the other dealers have brought in (and yes, I frequently take something home with me). Don't forget the Fall Open House coming up September 11-13.

Creating a fall vibe in your home doesn't have to cost a lot. There are many colorful, fun accents you can add for $10-20. Look for things that appeal to your personal style, whether it's a fun felt pumpkin or a vintage plate. I go scrounging around my yard and garden for natural elements, too...I've even been known to drive a country road in search of bittersweet and wildflowers. What does fall feel like for you?

I have a thing for vintage picnic tins - they have a great look and are useful for both fall and winter holidays. Or maybe it's because they often come in plaid designs...I love plaids, too. We drag it out of barns and sheds, haul it home and clean it up, then make it available in our booth - always on the lookout for something interesting or different that we think our customers will enjoy!
