Ok, so this heart was tufted with the pneumatic tufting gun, and it is too heavy for me. So, I decided to try and use this old hand tool. It works easy and smooth, but it doesn’t cut the pile, it makes loops. I think it might be interesting to have different types of pile in one rug!

Today we are preparing rug patterns for shipping. This is a Peony rug punch needle kit, which contains the hand drawn pattern on monks cloth, yarn and a color chart. All JAN rug designs are available as kits by request. #

I stabilised three of my finished rugs! I used latex, brush, roller and a piece of secondary backing. Very excited about framing two of them! I will need Jon’s help for that. We already framed a couple of rugs before, so we pretty much know how to do that. Will see how it turns out! All the materials are available in our shop! Link in bio.

This day has come! I am finally latexing the Summet Aroma rug! Needed to come back and fix some spots my little helpers messed up (don’t ask why I am latexing my rugs!), and now it needs to dry in the about 24 hours , and then I will do the edges and start enjoying it! Now i will have a piece of sumner all year round! If you want to make rugs, we have everything you need for that! Link in bio!

We are going to finish this tiny rug using my granddaughter’s design, ant to learn tufting at the same time. I gathered the colors she chose in her drawing, now we are ready! Tufting cloth, rug yarn and stands of all sizes you can find at jancrafts.com

Time to stabilize a few rugs that were waiting for a while now! I am using a 100% polyester secondary backing, because it is extremely light but strong and durable , and with the right formula latex your rug will last forever! I got three rugs that need to be finalized! It’s time! Especially I want to finalize the Fall wreath and frame it, so that I could use is to decorate our bedroom for the Fall this year! What would you do to the Summer Aroma rug? Use it on the floor some where , or also make it as a wall hanging! I am still thinking….
