Happy Birthday America at 250! So proud and privileged to live at this time and in this place ~ perhaps the most consequential point in the history of Western Civilization. Lets hope we can keep the gift our forefathers bequeathed us ~ a land where we have more freedom and more choices then any human beings before us could ever have dreamed possible ~ a land where any one of us is free to be whatever we want to be! Let us all be grateful for what we have inherited and dedicate ourselves to passing it along to our children.

Dan Duggan 8/21/1956 ~ 5/29/2026
The North Country music community has lost one of our most beloved members. Dan was not only a master of the hammered dulcimer, gifted musician and teacher, but he was a genuinely good person ~ always willing to share and give his time to others. He will be missed by all of us who had the privilege of knowing him.

Congratulations Nick ~ We are all so proud of you! The May 2026 issue of Bluegrass Unlimited article featuring Yonder Mountain String Band gave a well earned credit to you and your positive influence as a member of the group. Keep up the good work Nick!

We have lost another important and beloved member of our Bluegrass community ~ Nick Barr passed on April 9th 2024.
(This is a snapshot of Nick I took at an IBMA convention a few years ago) He will be sorely missed.
