Some of you may have noticed that we opened a new Café at SPACE earlier this summer. A decision we made just a few months earlier, in April.

At the time, we weren’t sure whether we could complete the renovations in time, whether we would have enough staff to operate seven days a week, or whether we could work out all the kinks before letting everyone know we were here.

By the end of the season, we knew the Café was something we wanted to keep, grow and improve.

The 2027 season will mark the fourth season of the SPACE retail store, the third season of the OUTER Space Music Venue and Food & Beverage Courtyard, and now the second season of the Café at SPACE.

We feel that the first-floor layout is finally complete, giving us the best opportunity to overcome the financial challenges we have faced while positioning us to begin developing the rest of this historic hotel.

The smiles, conversations, connections and providing a gathering place for people to dance in downtown Old Forge are what keep us going.

Thank you to our staff, sponsors, vendors, contractors and every guest who has supported us along the way. SPACE would not stand a chance without all of you.

As we move into the fall season, SPACE and the Café will be open Thursday through Sunday, beginning at 10 a.m., through October 12. The retail store will stay open further into the holiday season.

Our final OUTER Space event of the season will be the CAA/Saranac-sponsored Oktoberfest on October 3. This all-day celebration will conclude with a ticketed concert featuring bob. and Moe.organ Fairchild.
