Join us for our fall season Sept 9-Oct 10! We are a seasonal family business. For over 50 years Painters has supplied WNC with a wide diversity of locally grown plants. Most of our plants are grown from start to finish on site. Each spring, we offer over 1,500 varieties of potted perennials and annuals, including bedding plants and hanging baskets, edibles, natives, succulents, houseplants, shrubs

and trees. We also provide a range of beautiful combos, pottery, garden art and unique gifts, and select soil amendments. We are known for our selection of natives and pollinator plants, as well as our massive Boston Fern and flowering baskets. Our spring season runs from March through June, our fall season runs from mid-September through mid October, and we have several weekend events throughout the rest of the year. Otherwise, we are busy growing! We are deeply sorry to share that Moises, our head of operations, passed away this Thursday. There really aren't any words to properly portray Moises and all he was to Painters - he was the heart and spine of the business in so many ways. During his illness and absence these last months, we have deeply missed his smiles and jokes, along with his calm guidance and creative problem solving. It is incredibly hard to imagine Painters without him.

Moises touched countless lives - he was pivotal at Banner Greenhouses for many years before he joined our team, and we also know he was a generous and thoughtful member of his community outside of work - often helping neighbors or anyone he saw in need. We are especially sad and concerned for his family - including his bother, Diego, and brother in law, Israel, who worked so closely with him here.

We take comfort in knowing he was surrounded by family when he passed, and that he is no longer suffering. Rest well, Moises 💜
