Experience in retail, resale, consignment, furniture, fashion, art, or antiques is helpful—but character, coachability, and a genuine willingness to learn matter even more.

This is more than simply filling a position. It’s an opportunity to become part of a growing local business, help create a warm and welcoming experience for our customers and consignors, and contribute to what The Cedar Chest is becoming.

FALL INTAKE IS NOW OPEN at The Cedar Chest Consignments!

Beginning today, August 1, we are officially accepting fall consignments.

The leaves may not begin turning until September and October, but we start early so our floor is stocked and ready when that crisp New England air arrives.

Right now, we are especially looking for transitional, layerable pieces such as lightweight jackets, fine knitwear, cardigans, dark denim, midi and maxi dresses, ankle boots, loafers, structured handbags, warm-toned accessories, and fall home décor.

The sweet spot is anything that can carry you comfortably from a cool morning to a warm afternoon and back into a breezy evening.

Please note that summer intake is now closed, and heavier winter pieces should be saved for Winter Intake.
