Did you know that hardy hibiscus can sport?
They can! This is Walter’s Gardens own sport of Hardy Hibisicus, it is such a great plant.
For a Hardy Hibiscus to make it through to a viable plant is extremely rare.
Who would be interested in this plant in 2028? I am thinking about ordering it? And yes not till 2028 at Hillview Hosta.
It is a Patented and Proven Winners called Glitter Bomb.

Spent the day at Walter’s Gardens in Zeeland Michigan attending their annual expo.
Gardens were in full bloom, we didn’t let the rain dampen our day.
2 new Proven Winner Hosta that we will have for 2027, Hosta Humungosaurus and Hosta Affair to Remember both from the Shadowland collection.

We have been busy adding new Hosta varieties for the 2027 season. I am very excited for what is in store for next year. Remember we are open by appointment for the rest of this year.

Well… someone decided that they needed our HILLVIEW HOSTA sign that we place at the county road every sale day.
So disheartening as we have used that sign for the past 6 years and it had our name on both sides.
We will have to figure something out for next year.

Dave has been working very hard to get all the display beds weeded. They are looking wonderful and we’d love you to come stroll them. Who knows maybe a Hosta or fern will jump into your arms while you are here.

9/12: Fire Convention Vendor Show, Delaware County Fairgrounds, Manchester, IA (Playing with fire, bringing the sweets)

9/26: Alburnett Historical Center, 106 South Main Ave., Alburnett (A little history, a lot of frosting)
