Follow me as I pick up new techniques, see what sticks, and attempt to show the world. Backwoods Bits and Bobbles is an exploration of Appalachian craft through sewing, painting, accessories, soaps, and much more. Backwoods Bits and Bobbles aims to spark creativity and joy in a myriad of consumers. From paintings to hair ties, to earrings, you never know what you'll find; theres always something new! My lineage is filled with creators who had to fill a need: blankets to keep warm (but also look nice and even tell a story), painters and sculptors who wanted to keep their history alive through art. Made with love. I want to keep that alive. I want to make people happy. I want to take what I love doing, creating, and make other people happy. Though these things can be bought at many retail stores, I provide luxury hand made items to my consumers. I want each customer to feel like they're opening a gift any time they receive one of my products. I want them to feel the love and creativity I feel when I see what the wonderful things my family and the people in my past have made as well.

Saw a BEAUTIFUL CRANE- didn't have my camera even out of my bag, wasn't fast enough
Was FEET AWAY. From a deer. Wasn't fast enough. So maybe I should keep my camera on the whole time I'm on a trip. And I need to play with "sport mode" more.
