Fox 260 #56534 in excellent condition and available for trial! Built new in 2014 for Aria Double Reeds, we’re happy to have the opportunity to sell this bassoon a second time as the owner has upgraded to a professional model. The model 260 is the predecessor to the Fox 460 and possesses many of the same characteristics – a short bore, thick-walled design based on the Fox 660. You can think of this as a more interesting sounding and more powerful sounding Fox 240. It has a superb tone and plays with a well broken-in resonance that you won’t find in a a brand new instrument. The intonation is fantastic in all registers and is an overall delightful instrument to play. Included with this bassoon are Fox CTX2 and Fox CTC3 R2 bocals, as well as a Marcus Bonna case. This is an excellent instrument for a budding student who wants more fullness, projection, and color in their sound!
