We’re Hiring! Come work at the cutest toy store in Omaha!

A few exciting changes are happening within our little Oak & Acorn team! Some of our amazing employees are moving on as they relocate (we are in denial still) or step into new full-time opportunities, which means we’re looking for 1–2 wonderful people to join us.

We’re a very close-knit crew, so we aren’t simply looking for someone to fill a shift. We’re looking for the right person- someone who will genuinely care about our store, our customers, our little visitors, and the people they work alongside.

We’re currently hiring a Part-Time Sales Associate, and this is definitely a people-focused position! You must be comfortable around both adults and children and genuinely enjoy talking with others, helping families, playing with and talking about toys, and creating a welcoming experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

You’ll also help keep Acorn Hollow (our sensory play space) running smoothly-checking families into our sensory playroom, tidying and resetting play areas, cleaning, and yes... sweeping up lots of rice.

Bonus points if you can embrace the magic AND the mess.

The details:

* $18/hour
* Employee discount
* Wonderful work environment
* Approximately 9–20 hours per week (sometimes a little less or more depending on availability, interest, and who we hire)
(Opportunity for additional hours during the upcoming holiday season)
* Shifts are 10am–2pm or 2pm–6pm
* Sundays are 12pm–4pm
We are primarily looking for afternoon availability, with the occasional morning shift

More than anything, we want someone who wants to become part of our team-not just work a shift. We care deeply about Oak & Acorn and what we’ve created here, and we hope to find someone who will care about it right alongside us.

Our store and sensory room is back up and running today, and we'd love to see you! We have a rare weekend up ahead where we have no private events planned for our sensory room so we are open all weekend as well ♥️
We have lots of new items and restocks in our store along with cute tables in our sensory room so come shop & play!
Weekend Hours:
Friday: 10am-6pm
Saturday: 10am-6pm
Sunday: 12pm-4pm

*Note: currently construction has lifted the restrictions on our parking spaces directly in front of our store making parking easier this weekend as well! (These spaces were previously blocked for this last week)*

Oak & Acorn is CLOSED for the remainder of today (Thursday, August 27th).
Unfortunately, we are dealing with unexpected water leaks inside our store and need to close for the rest of the day while the situation is addressed.

We’re so sorry for the unexpected closure and for any inconvenience this may cause families who were planning to shop or play in Acorn Hollow today.

We’ll keep everyone updated and are hopeful we can get everything taken care of quickly.

There’s something NEW around every corner at Oak & Acorn!

We’ve been busy filling the shop with even more things to spark little imaginations, encourage big ideas, and make playtime a little more magical.

New arrivals include:

Acorn Hollow is closed today (Saturday) as we celebrate a birthday party, but we'll be back open for play tomorrow (Sunday) during our normal hours!

While the playroom is taking a day off, Oak & Acorn is OPEN, and we've been busy filling the shelves with so many wonderful new arrivals!

We're making room for all of the cozy holiday magic that's already making its way to Oak & Acorn, and that means it's time for one final summer clearance!

Acorn Hollow will be closed today as we celebrate one of our very favorite little acorns!
Our sweet Ellie turned 8, and today our very own Acorn Hollow is filled with birthday magic as we celebrate her special day.

While the playroom is closed, Oak & Acorn will be open as usual from 12:00–4:00 PM, so come wander the shelves, discover something new, and enjoy a cozy afternoon with us.

Don't forget- our sensory play room, Acorn Hollow, is closed tomorrow (Saturday 18th) for a private party, but our store is open, and we are ready for some shoppers! Our 50% Summer Sale on our front table is still going on, and so is our clothing sale (we are starting to have very low quantities of clothing left so make sure to shop the sale while you still can!).

Summer is in full swing at Oak & Acorn, and we've packed this week with some of our favorite things!

Our annual Summer Sale has officially begun, making room for all of the exciting holiday inventory arriving later this year.

Here's what's happening this week:

• 50% OFF everything on our front sale table! New items will be added every week(or sooner!), so be sure to check the table often.

• Our Treasure Chest has returned! With any store purchase or admission into Acorn Hollow, each little acorn may choose one treasure from the chest. We'll refill it every day with new surprises! (Limit one treasure per child, per day.)

• Acorn Hollow is filled with brand new summer sensory play, including our Pirate Treasure, Ice Cream with Sprinkles, and Coral Reef sensory mixes, plus plenty of hands-on stations to spark imagination.

• Our newest handcrafted sensory mixes are now available to take home, so the fun doesn't have to end when your visit does!

Please note: Acorn Hollow will be closed this Saturday, July 11th for a private birthday party.
