CRAZY DAVE'S SIDEWALK SALE THIS WEEKEND!
THE BIG SIDEWALK SALE NEWS:
Crazy Dave is at it again! Dave showed up covered in cobwebs from hunting around in the warehouse.
"Time for a sidewalk sale" he screamed! He's gathered thousands of comics and priced 'em at a measly $1 each. Fill a provided short box for only $50!!
We will have Funko Pops for $5 each -3 for $12! Toys, toys and more toys will be outside on the sidewalk while the comics will be inside enjoying the air conditioning!
GET TO KNOW STORE MANAGER DAVE!
From humble beginnings as simply "David" to becoming the legendary "Pizza Dave," and ultimately rising to manage the greatest comic book shop in Omaha, Dave has become the most beloved curmudgeon ever to run the store.
My personal experiences with Dave have always been memorable. I'd show up early to help open the store, and he'd greet me with the finger. I'd move boxes around, and he'd thank me with the finger. I would give the comics books a new life by redoing all the cards that sort them and I knew I did a good job when he gave me the finger.
Of course, that finger was actually a thumbs-up.
Dave is the centerpiece of the employee table: hardworking, dependable, and absolutely essential. He's one of the key gears that keeps Krypton Comics running smoothly. His knowledge, dedication, and experience are appreciated by everyone who works alongside him and every customer who walks through the door.
I asked all of the employees the same questions, and here's what they had to say about Dave...
Q.)What brought you to Krypton in the first place? -
A.)Kevin Hayner, who was the store manager at the time, asked Dean if he thought I would be interested in a job after I helped them move to the location at Westwood Plaza almost 19 years ago.
Q.)What do you like about working there?
A.)I like sharing the same passions as our customers.
Q.)What passions do you have that revolve in the same world as Krypton?
A.)I collect toys, comic books and Pokemen cards.
Q.)If money and work were not an obstacle in life, what would you do with yourself tomorrow?
A.)Relax and enjoy life.
Q.)Life before I was at Krypton?
A.)I was employed at Godfather's Pizza, I started as a delivery driver and promoted to manager for 12 years before I arrived at Krypton!
I'm sure we can get Dave to answer more and go deeper.
How would Dave Relax? Relax how? Make sure you tag him in the comments and ask him when you see him in the store.
His dreams of being a firefighter can still come true, as he puts out fires at the store (metaphorically) everyday. Thank you Dave for always being there. (except Thursday and Saturday) so hats off and thumbs up to you.
