Phalaenopsis (Moth Orchid)
Moth orchids are no more difficult to grow successfully in homes and offices than many other houseplants, since they prefer moderate light, comfortable room temperatures and most grow to 15-24 inches when in full bloom. The broad green leaves spread outward, so the plants are wider than they are tall when not in flower.
Several blossoms appear on each flowering spike, and sometimes a second flower spike emerges when the first one is cut.
Flowers last 6 weeks or longer. The flat blossoms with sensual centers may be white, pink, or yellow, or show intricate mottled patterns.
Moth orchids develop sturdy roots including some that wander over the surface of the pot, perhaps in search of a convenient tree limb.
They say to put ice cubes on the soil but I personally water them just like the rest of my house plants 🙂

Golden Pothos
Pathos has a well-deserved reputation as the easiest house plant to grow. Long Vining stems trail over the sides of the pot, often reaching 8ft long or more unless they are trimmed back.
The glossy heart shaped leaves unfurl constantly, usually emerging green and becoming more variegated as they age.
Bright light increases the growth rate of this vigorous plant. Once or twice a year prune this beautiful plant to keep it bushy and full.
Over watering is the only serious mistake you might make with this forgiving plant, because pothos cannot stand water- logged soil. Be especially careful with freshly repotted plants, which appreciate somewhat dry conditions as they recover from the change.
Vigorous fast growing pothos are ideal low maintenance plants for offices and homes.
