We have Creek Chubs along with fatheads, crawlers, baby crawlers, red worms, waxies and leeches👍

Here's a multi-purpose fish: the creek chub!

🐟 Creek chubs are slender minnows with a black blotch near the dorsal fin and a black spot at the base of the tail.

🔎 Compared to the fathead minnow, creek chub have larger mouths extending past the front of the eye.

🐛 These fish are carnivorous, mainly eating insects. They will also eat small fish, crayfish, worms and mollusks.

🔨 Adult male creek chubs construct large, round nests by carrying gravel in their mouths to build the nest. They will defend it vigorously. Many other fishes use creek chub nests for spawning.

🎣 Walleye, brown trout, northern pike, largemouth bass and smallmouth bass will all go after creek chubs on hook and line. They also make great cutbait for catfish!
