CCWG Cookstown - Ontario

Located in the ON Stockyards at Hwy 400 & 89. The co-op was established in 1918 by sheep farmers.

The Canadian Co-operative Wool Growers Ltd was established in 1918 by the sheep industry as a national system of collecting and marketing its members' wool on a co-operative basis. In 1972 the livestock supplies division was started to provide sheep producers with supplies not readily available in Canada. Over the years the store has expanded into other livestock supplies, equipment, and many products for the farming community.

Just a reminder that CCWG is closed today Monday, September 7 for Labour Day.

We know that for many farmers, “Labour Day” still means there’s plenty of labour to be done! While our team gets a day off, we know the animals still need feeding, chores still need doing, and farm life carries on.

Thank you to all the farmers who keep at it, holiday or not. We’ll be back to regular hours Tuesday, September 8.

In honour of Labour Day, we asked the livestock if everyone could have Monday off.

They said no.

Apparently breakfast is still at 6 a.m., fences still need mended and nobody told the hay it was a long weekend.

**CCWG, however, WILL be taking the day off!**

We’ll be closed Monday, September 7 and back to regular hours Tuesday.

To all the farmers who don’t get a “closed” sign — Happy Labour Day!
