A big shout-out to Karen Knudsen Trame !!!

I’ve loved getting to know Karen through her amazing and equally talented daughter, Kate, over the years, and it makes me so happy to see her taking her Fold & Sew quilts out into the world… and then she went and had her Carol Quilt place at the Boone County Fair?! How fun is that?!

Mabel made it onto the Mabel Quilt! 🐾

She spends plenty of time keeping me company while I quilt, so it seemed only right that she get a permanent spot on one.

I’m a dealer. A quilt kit dealer.

I don’t just con people myself, I recruit an entire gang to do it with me. We make quilts, but here’s the catch: we don’t cut the fabric.

I’ll make the exchange anywhere they’ll let me set up my booth, or the seedy underbelly of society called the World Wide Web. The transaction is usually concluded with a warning from the buyer: “don’t tell my husband.”

Once the kit is in their hands, what happens next is up to them. They can stab it methodically or randomly, just as long as the needle is sharp and no loose threads are left behind.

The law calls it… actually, I have no idea what the law calls it.
