A little news from the CoinVue side of things:

I wrote a book.

From Steel Cents to Belgian Francs: A Collector's Investigation Into The 1944 Belgian 2 Franc is now finished and published on Amazon.

The book grew out of my own curiosity about the 1944 Belgian 2 Franc—a coin with a surprisingly difficult history to piece together. It covers the story behind its production, the archival research that helped uncover it, and a specimen study of the coins themselves. It also includes reproductions of many of the original documents and correspondence used in the research.

There are two editions available: a paperback and a hardcover.

CoinVue has always been about looking a little closer at coins, and in this case, that curiosity turned into a much bigger project than I originally expected.

Pretty neat to finally see it sitting on a shelf as an actual book.

Looking for a few volunteers with Android phones to help test a coin photography app I’ve been developing.

Google Play requires about two weeks of normal use during internal testing. Nothing special required — just use the app as you normally would and share any feedback.

Today I’m excited to officially launch the CoinVue Coin Holder 2.0 on the site.

This updated version builds on everything that made the original great—with refinements focused on precision, usability, and overall experience for collectors.

For now, both the original holder and the new 2.0 version will be available side by side in the store so you can choose what works best for you. Over time, the original will be phased out as 2.0 becomes the new standard.
