It's a fact: when you shop local, more of your dollars stay right in your community compared to shopping online or at big box stores! Come to the Ontario Market on Friday evening, August 14, 3-8 pm and support our local small businesses! This week, we'd like to highlight two of those businesses.

First up is Sarah's Schoolhouse Goats! Sarah has been raising and milking goats since taking what she calls a "big leap of faith" and moving to the Ontario/Hillsboro area in 2015. Sarah makes soaps, balms and lotions from her own fresh goats milk. Come meet her and learn how beneficial goat's milk products can be. Says Sarah, "My life has become better and richer with having goats in it, and I'm blessed to be able to make soap and other products from their milk."

Next we have WittsEnd Acres. Cory and Shelby Witt are organic farmers from Kendall and Shelby brings her handmade items to our market, including beautiful beeswax candles and "flower frogs". These are ceramic toppers for vases with holes for holding your wildflower and other blooms upright. Shelby's frogs are designed especially for standard canning jars for a cute farmhouse look. She also makes candles, tallow salves and even tasty treats!

So come on down and meet these and other local entrepreneurs. As always, you can get a bite to eat at Kickapoo River Subs LLC and enjoy dessert at Saddle Up Coffee & Ice Cream while browsing the market. Hope to see you there!

Another market regular is Eness Creations. These creative folks do 3D printing, laser cutting and engraving. In addition to their own amazing creatures and toys, they can do custom work for you. Check out their page!

As always, Babbling Brook Acres will be there with amazing baked goods, jams, pickles and sauces. Rumor has it that there will be a NEW special flavor of cinnamon roll this week. You won't want to miss that!

While you're there, treat yourself to a sandwich at Kickapoo River Subs LLC, followed by dessert from Saddle Up Coffee & Ice Cream. Please come and support our local businesses. We have new vendors joining us all the time - you never know what you might find!
